Installation Guidelines

• Expansion Joints: Install joints for rooms over 40 feet (12 m) or across multiple rooms. Allow gaps around fixed structures like kitchen islands, pillars, and furniture.

• Floating Installation: Maintain a 10mm gap around walls and obstacles. Use wedges to secure spacing, covered later with baseboards or transition strips.

• Doorways & Temperature Differences: Separate flooring at doorways and between areas with large temperature variations. Protect from direct sunlight to prevent thermal expansion.

Preparation Before Installation

Open packages only before installation. Mix pieces from different boxes for uniform appearance. Inspect each plank for color consistency, structure, and potential damage. Use weight distribution pads for heavy furniture to prevent dents.

Subfloor Requirements

Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, flat, firm, and stable. Remove any loose or soft coverings. Flatness tolerance should not exceed 2mm per meter; smooth bumps and fill pits before installation.
