Expansion Requirements

• No expansion joints required for areas up to 12 meters (40 feet) without direct sunlight exposure.

• Install expansion joints every 9–12 meters (30–40 feet) in large or continuous areas.

• Required for complex layouts such as L-shaped, U-shaped, or Z-shaped floor plans.

• Leave spacing around pillars, kitchen islands, heavy furniture, and fixed installations.

  • Open packages only at the time of installation.

  • Mix planks from different cartons to ensure a natural and uniform appearance.

  • Inspect each plank under proper lighting for color consistency and locking integrity.

• Heavy Furniture & Static Loads
• For areas with heavy furniture or appliances, proper weight distribution is essential.
• Example:
  If placing a heavy refrigerator directly on the floor, concentrated pressure from small feet may cause indentation over time.
• Solution:
  Use furniture pads or coasters to distribute weight evenly and protect the surface of your luxury SPC flooring.
• Subfloor Requirements
• For best results, the subfloor must be:

  • Firm, stable, and structurally sound

  • Free from loose materials or old soft coverings

  • Even, with a maximum flatness deviation of 2mm per meter
